Volunteer signup (external site)

Volunteering at Fresh Start requires no special skills or training—you just need a heart for caring, a smile for your neighbors, and a willingness to serve.

Between 60 and 70 people volunteer at Fresh Start each month to serve our unhoused neighbors, and we welcome all ages, including children (with adult supervision) and older adults or people with limited mobility.

We are open from 6:45 am until 10 am, and most volunteers choose a 2-hour shift. Tasks include welcoming guests at the gate, cooking, plating, and serving food, distributing clothing and personal supplies, and cleaning up.
